What payroll system would you recommend that integrates with GP?

We use Epicor Bistrack as our ERP system and Microsoft Dynamics GP as our financial interface. Does anyone have any recommendations for a payroll system that integrates with GP?

www.gpug.com/.../magazine --ex. use search bar in upper right corner to find ISV who does work in your product (ex. Try searching broad such as 'payroll isv' if searching for a payroll customization)

Hi Alex,

it really depends on your business and how many employees you need to run payroll for.. GP is perfectly capable of managing payroll for hundreds of employees, but it really depends on how complex your company's structure is and if you have multiple branches or offices scattered over several states.

Greenshade is one product that comes my mind when it comes to payroll integration with GP, but as Cheryl suggested, there are multiple others that may integrate more or less well with GP.

Thank you for your help, I wasn't aware that GP had a payroll feature. We only have about 30 employees and our operation is quite simple. Do you know if the payroll feature is an add-on?

Alex,

The HR & PR functionalities are part of the base package in Dynamics GP (called starter pack) and do not require additional licenses to be used. You only need to make sure it's enabled in your 'registration' settings in GP administration and the add-ons are installed from the GP setup files.

There are different levels or HR & PR, even including some integration tools with external payroll providers

Check all the documentation here: docs.microsoft.com/.../payrollus

You may want to talk to your partner to assist you with getting started with the PR module in GP, as there are some setup that is required in GP and it may speed up the whole process, rather than trying to discover it by yourself on how it works.

Alex, while Payroll is part of the core modules now, it also depends on your geographic location. If you are outside of the US or Canada you may need to investigate 'local' options. Otherwise, I concur with Beat and Cheryl. Get assistance from your partner, payroll, regardless of location is not something to 'just figure out' there are some very complex considerations and someone that knows about your local requirements is a huge bonus.
