Need to add an alert, using javascript, for document name when the document with same name is uploaded

There is field "name" in document entity. When user uploads the document with same name, the old document is getting replaced/rewritten. But, the requirement now is to add a new Javascript to the function so that whenever document is same name is uploaded, it should throw an alert.

You can provide a popup notification which can be more user friendly. Please refer below Microsoft doc, which will help you to choose an appropriate alert.

Hi RK444,

You need to use retrieve functions on the document location table to find duplicates and when you find them you need to use formContext.ui.setFormNotification(message, level, uniqueId) to show information on the app.
