Printing associated reports at the same time

ReportReport

Hi,

 I'm trying to setup AX to automatically print a quality order with the delivery note (to the same printer). Is this something that can be setup via print management or does it require major x++ modifications (i.e its not supported out of the box)

Thanks and Regards

David

    Printing reports on same printer or specified printer you can manage using Print management setup.

    But to print Quality Order along with delivery note, for this you will need customization and it cant be done out of the box as per my understanding.

    But the customization is not that major.

    You need to identify the Quality Order during delivery note printing and call the quality order report

    Customization effort estimate will not be more than 8Hrs to 12Hrs (with analysis/Dev and testing)

    I solved this a while ago so here is a quick update of how I did it:

    I found the packed formlettercontract hanging around in the salesformletter class.  I used this to initiate a formLetterJournalPrint object (_flc is the formletterContract)

    formLetterJournalPrint = FormletterJournalPrint::newFromFormletterContract(_flc);

    Next, I created some new SRSPrintDestinationSettings from the formLetterJournalPrint and passed them into the controller for my current print job.

    controller.parmReportContract().parmPrintSettings(new SRSPrintDestinationSettings(formLetterJournalPrint.parmPrinterSettingsFormLetter()));

    That was it.  Now my new print job used the same settings as the once before it.

    Hope this helps someone one day.
