How to set ProductID to be generate automatically in Dynamics 365 on premise?

I try to create an item. But I don't want to enter the product ID. I am expecting that it has to generate automatically by system. Is it any settings available in Dynamics 365 on premise?..

I just want to disabled the productID and it has to generate ProductID by system when user click ok button

Can I define Product Serial Number be Category.I want to segregate product number by category, as well as it has to be auto generate

Hi,

Go to Organisation Administration > Number sequences > Number sequences - Find your product number sequence

Select the number sequences, go to the General tab and select Manual = No. This will then use the number sequence to determine product ID on creation
