Teams calls integration into Business Central - pop up contact card when called or calling

Hi everyone,

I'm currently trying to find a way of integrating MS Teams into BC for telephone calls. The example is that a customer wants to use MS Teams as their primary phone system and hopes to connect this to Business Central. The idea is that BC automatically recognizes the number and directly opens up the contact/customer card of the caller to directly have all info in front of you. Either for sales or just general info.

Does anyone here know of any options for something like this out there? It seems like a perfect fit and something that should be possible given the constant theme of the "Microsoft Universe" and integrating everything, but I haven't found anything so far.

I am assuming there is no option for this available in base BC or Teams, but has anyone maybe heard of a third party company or add-on that does exactly this?

    Hi Jannis,

    in the BC standard application, we are starting to integrate into MS teams with showing card page information to easily bring more value information into teams chats and channels. I’m currently not aware of any out of the box integration where you can integrate with the phone feature for outgoing and incoming calls.

    Let’s see if our community can add more hints to your question.

    I'm surprised at the lack of response to this question.
     
    I am currently in a similar position. We are migrating to Business Central for our ERP and I'm looking at other cloud based phone systems to replace our existing one. I was hoping that Microsoft would have more integration between Teams and BC other than sharing basic Item, Customer and Vendor card details.
     
    It would be great for us (600+ calls a day) to be able to see whether the inbounds are from any existing customer, rather than cold call and our sales team have information readily available.
     
    I believe the functionality is in D365 Sales, but not sure if this would incorporate the inbound groups, or only calls to an individual person?
