No data displays when adding new table in "SalesInvoice" SSRS report

Hi,

I'm working on the sales invoice report customization. I have added a couple of new tables in the sales invoice report. But after adding it to the table dataset in the report, the data is not populating in the report. This happens only for the newly added table data, rest of the standard table data are populating.

Note: I have created a new design in SalesInvoice report.

Data is coming from the Data provider classes. Have you altered SalesInvoiceDP / SalesInvoiceController correctly? Please familiarize yourself with SSRS DP from the documentation, also you could find a lot of blogs about this:

    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh456296.aspx

Also did you add your new design in the Report configurations list in the System administrator module, and have you set the new design in the Sales parameters for the Print management settings on the customer invoices original/copy entry?

    Hi Vilmos,

Yes I have did the coding in the DP class and that data is also inserting into the table which I have newly created. But my issue is the data which are coming from the newly created table means, the data is not showing up in the report.

I am sorry but it is a bit hazy what you have explained, that the data inserting but it it not showing. Are you saying you have debugged the data provider class explained in the link I have posted, and the data is being populated in your regular AX table (because SalesInvoice is a pre-processed SSRS report) with the createdtransactionid (preprocessid) and everything fine, but it is just not being rendered on the report? Are you sure the correct design that has your datasources are being rendered? Check the settings I have explained above to be sure.

Also on SQL Server where your ReportServer database is sitting, check the ExecutionLog3 SQL View. It will tell you exactly what design is being called.

    Hi Crispin,

There is no relation between the new and existing table.

Yes some fields from new table are displaying in the exisiting table tablix.
