Odata Services / Enable OData Services not available (grayed out)

Hi All,

I was trying to google my question and look at the forums but it seems no one had this issue before. I'm trying to research Nav product and installed NAV 2016 demo.

My goal is to connect to Navision with Power BI and for that I need to enable Odata Services. When I open the administration tool this option is not available to me. Am I missing some component / account. I checked and I have IIS installed on my machine. I'm using 64 bit windows 10 professional. I don't have the office 365 account.

Regards,

Bart

The posted image is not visible. However, the standard way is to open Microsoft Dynamics NAV Administration, selct your NAV service instance, open the OData Services tab and the click on EDIT.

Now you've to set the flag to Enable OData Services.

Can you do this or not? Can you post a screenshot of your servicie tier configuration?

sorry for the screenshot. I had no troubles finding the options, but they are disabled, I simply can't check the checkbox to enable OData :-/ (I can't check https option either)

But can you edit the other NAV service settings? Also in other tabs? Have you opened NAV Administration with admin credentials?

When you select the service and click Edit you should have the option to enable it. You can also use the PowerShell Script to enabl e the OData Services, please check this link for more information

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../dn135246(v=nav.70).aspx

Set-NAVServerConfiguration -ServerInstance <ServerInstance> -keyname ODataServicesEnabled -keyvalue true
