Bespoke CSS in Landing page

Hi

The company I'm working with wants to have a conciisted look and feel across all it's branding. So they want me to add images/css etc... from their main website.

Is there an easy way to integrate this into a Landing Page?

I'm trying to avoid as much coding as possible as the people responsible for the pages day to day upkeep will not have technical skills.

Is there somewhere I can upload the css file (the relevant css file isn't hosted anywhere accessable - as it's lifted direct from a legacy CRM)

Thanls

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Lee

If you are merely attempting to copy the styles from another website into a Landing Page then you could edit the HTML of the Landing Page so that it incorporates a link to whatever the styles are like on their main website. I know you say the CSS isn't accessible but if they have an external site then I'd assume that you could ask the developers for the appropriate file (location). If you cannot reference it directly then you could obtain a copy and add this as a web file and reference this within your Landing Page.

Or you could simply leave the forms as plain forms and incorporate these into the companies main website and then the styling would be taken care of by the main website and your Landing Pages would be shown within the confines of the main website.

If either of these help you then please mark the reply as the Verified Answer.

    Thanx

    Thank you

The company is using the portal, but I have thought about maybe telling them that putting the Landing pages on the website might be a better idea for them.

We would still need to create the landing pages - a group of marketeers will be building the pages, but I've been wondering if because they have a consistent header and footer then using the website rather than the portal would be a better option for them?

    Hi Lee

As you say, it's a determination required by those involved I'm afraid (they need to figure out what it is they are needing to do here).

If they are merely using Marketing Forms then they have the option to host the form on their main website but if they are looking to use the Marketing Pages then I believe these can't be hosted and will always be driven by the Portal.

If the marketeers are more interested in data capture and maintaining a standard look then I'd recommend going down the Marketing Forms route and host these externally (on their main website). However, if they want to put "more effort" into the page and it won't just be a form but more detail about the form, etc. then they could use the Marketing Pages via the Portal (as you mention) but I'd suggest you create some templates for them to use that include references to the CSS from the main website.

Depending on the external site, you could use a combination of them both. The form could be from the Marketing app and the additional detail could be written on the other website (depending if it's an easily updated CMS based system which I assume it is). They could create a page and host the form and merely wrap that form with whatever other data they wish to show in relation to it.

Couple of options but they need to determine which route makes more sense to them.

Thanks, I've managed to embed the CSS into a template and it's looking like I'll just have to explain how to edit it to the business.

But do you know how to select the whole page area (of both pages and forms)?

I want to put a background image to a page that's been completed (and also to a form), but I cannot select the whole area for the background image. It defaults to the nearest column? I want the whole layout to have the same background image/

    Thanks

    Hi Lee

Not sure if you've been able to figure this out yet. Easiest way would probably to enter the HTML and add a little bit to the CSS at the top of the pages. If there is a body element in the CSS then you could update this to state what the background image should be. If the body element isn't there (it probably won't be for a form but will be for a page) then you can add the body element at the top of the <style> area in the HTML.

Hopefully that should be able to help.

Thanks, but I'm supposed to be doing this so that non techies can do this.

I've already put too much html and css in it - it needs to be as much drag and drop as possible.

Only thing could be to create a Template as the base point (you do this for them so they don’t need to amend the HTML) and then anything they add into this should have the appropriate background image already added.

How do I create new Web templates?

In the Portal integration the option to change this is locked. I can amend the existing one, but I will need multiple of these.

    Thanks

    Hi Lee

You create these from within the CRM itself. Choose the app Portal Management and you'll be able to construct Web Templates and Page Templates from within there. A Page Template is what you will need for it to appear in the Power Apps Portal Admin center.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks, I've now been able to do this.

However when I create my marketing page, i can only add the default page template and web template

The fields are locked and I can't assign my new page/web templates to the page
