Email response to a form submission - dynamics content

I have a form for 'request a survey' bringing in requests from a website, with the field 'First Name' included in the form.

In a customer journey I want to respond to the form submission with a thank you email.

Cannot work out how to include the First Name field from the form submission in an email.

Any thoughts?!

    Hi Ian,

    You would need to edit your e-mail and in your e-mail you should insert {{contact.firstname}} in your textarea.

    This can be achieved by clicking the Assist Edit button:

    • Assist Edit

    • Choose the following settings:
      Screenshot_5F00_10.png
    • Click "Insert"

    You need to remember to go live with the e-mail and include it in your customer journey. 

    In your customer journey, the audience should either be a segment that collects the contacts who has submitted your form, or you can start it directly from the Form by choosing "Marketing Form" in your customer journey setup.

    Hi Jonas,

    Thank you very much for your response.

    I think I was overcomplicating this issue. I was working with Assist Edit, but rather than take the simpler option, I was trying out the relationships with Lead, which was clearly wrong!

    Email working, form bringing in contacts and insights - all good!
