Trying to have a kit (BOM) that shows the details of the assembly and different selling prices/components

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi Everyone,

new here... I was wondering, in NAV 2015 i'm trying to know if the following problem is possible. Here is my situation:

Every year at the company we do Specials (usually 2 or 3). The specials consists on special pallets Pal1, Pal2 etc. The pallets are assembled with items we have in our main catalog BUT because its part of a Special pallet we gave items Special prices because of the quantities the clients buy. So for client group #1 the PAL1Grp 1 contains component at certain retail prices, for client group #2 the Pal1Grp2 the same articles from Pal1Grp1 but different retail prices for the same components and so on...

2nd. How to SHOW on the Order Sale the list of the components of the Assembly (kit) with their particular retail prices.?

I hope i was clear enough!

Thanks

William!

    Hi,

You can achieve the above mentioned requirements as follow.

    1. You can create Pal1, Pal2 as Assembly Items

    2. Define the Assembly BOM for these Items (Your main catalog Items)

    3. Define various customer group as Grp1, Grp2 etc. Attach this groups at various customers as per need.

    4. Define the Sales price for Pal1, Grp1 (Assembly Item wise, customer group wise)

    5. Create the Sales Order for Pal1, Pal2 etc.

Enter the value in "Qty. to Assemble to Order" field in Sales Line.

This would automatically generate the Assembly Order... You can post this Assembly order to reduce the inventory of main catalog items and increase the inventory of Assembly Order Item.

Also, when you click on the AssistEdit button of Assembly Order field, you can view the component items of main assembly items (for reference).

    6. Customize the report to show the Assembly Item component and related price, as per need.

    Hope this helps.

    Best Regards,
