Hi Team,

I have been facing an issue related to the Tracking Dimension Group. Let's suppose, we have created the dimension group called 'Batch test' and by default three line will be adding in tracking dimension tab. On the first line 'Batch number' the IsPhysicalInventoryEnabled field set to unchecked - Save it.

Now, add a dimension group on the product and create the batch number e.g '123'

Moreover, quite a few transactions have made against the batch number. Later than we need to make amendment from uncheck to check in the field IsPhysicalInventoryEnabled on Tracking dimension. As the transactions are made, It would not allow us to update the field and raising the warning /No dimension group setup can be changes when transactions exist that use this setup unless the dimension group for an item is changed./

I want to update this field in any case. Please share any solution OR work around to achieve the requirement.

Tracking Dimension Group - Batch number

Hi User,

If there are items linked to a tracking dimension group with transactions, is it not possible to change the settings anymore. This is by design to prevent wrong calculations in the inventory costing and keep inventory transactions consistent with the dimensions used.

What would be your business requirement to change the settings? What is "any case" in your context as this is very broad?
