Vendor is not specified error for Pegged Supply BOM Line

I got a strange "Vendor is not specified" error when I estimate a production order that has a BOM line with a Pegged Supply item.

Production order is for Item AAA, which uses BBB Item that is also needed to be manufactured.

So, while configuring BOM of AAA, I chose Pegged Supply for Item type for BBB.

Strange thing is that the Item Line Type Icon of the BOM line overview grid shows this BBB item is a purchased item.

But BBB's Production Type in the Item mater is set to BOM.

What could be the root cause of the problem?

    Can you check once about what is the default order type for BBB items by looking at the default order setting? It should be 'Production' in your case. If not then please set it to 'Production' and try again.

    Thank you!

    It worked!!!!

    I checked the default order and it was Purchase Order.

    I changed to Production Order and it started working fine.
