Item discount on return sale order.........

hi all,

i have a problem. actually on some items, we gave suppose 20% discount. and if i create sale order for those items, it automatically give 20% discount. but when i generate sale return order for those items, it does not give 20% discount..

i can not understand why it does not work. it should give 20% discount on sale return order as well. so that out balances should remain same.

kindly some one can tell me what i have to do?

How did you gave discount through price agreement journal or line discount?

If your discount is order specific it will not come to return order. Because return should not care the discount you gave at the time of sales. Its just a return. If you have discounted sales price through price discount journal then that price will come to you amount.

Hi Hassan,

If you use 'Find a sales order' functionality, the price and discount will copy from the original order.

I've never noticed it before, but that link says that 'Find a sales order' is 'the recommended method to create return order lines'.
