Dear Experts,

We cannot create a new service order because of the error.

"In Table Service Setup you must enter a value in the field Default Option Code"

How can I add a Default Option Code in the Service Management Setup?

Hope you could help me with this.

Thanks very much in advance.

open service setup page and check whether you have field called "Default Option Code".

fill the field and try again creating service order.

if the field is not available on page then you need to add it from development environment.

    Hi Mohana,

Thank you for the response. The field "Default Option Code" is available in the Setup. However, when you click the "arrow up" there is no Option Code to select.

Please help how can I add new Option Code.

    Thanks very much.

What form opens when you select Default Option Code, in that table you need to first create a record and then select it from the service management setup.

Use rich Formatting and then you can paste the screenshot, when that form is open press Ctrl + F2 which will open it in design mode and then check the properties of that form you can view the table behind it.  Add a single record into the table.

Other thing i noticed you marked it answered if you already resolved it , then please ignore.

    Bibeth,

As per Suresh's suggestion, check the SourceTable property of that form and add a record into that table from Object Designer.
