I am trying to build a new environment for Microsoft Dynamics Navision version 2009. We are using SQL Server 2005 default instance in our production. Does Navision supports named instances of SQL Server?

     Hello  NAVUser

Yes Navision supports Named users.  2009 installation when you install the service doesn't but you can manually add it to the config file.  2009 SP1 installer allows you to enter the instance name during installation.

I suggest to use the 2009 Sp1 executable, and  if possible the business objects as well.

    Thanks Alex !!

How Can I install the SQL Server in the Server Pc by using the Nav 2009 SP1 Installer only ?
I have no Other Installer for the SQL Server.

What will be SQL server name, instance name, Nav Server name ? I can not find the wizard where I can Specify the above names.

    Kindly help

If SQL server are not installed when running the main setup chainer, you will get it installed automatically. Or you can simple go to DVD\Prerequisite Components\Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express and install it from there.

There is an entire section on prerequisites and how to install the components. Follow those instructions to the letter, and in the order that they are given, and you should be fine. Get in touch with your partner if you need more assistence, because it is impossible to help you like this.
