We are still working through our 2022 Year End upgrade for GP.
Old and active system: Windows 10, Dynamics GP 18.4.1384
New and in testing system: Windows 11, Dynamics GP 18.5.1596 - Microsoft Dynamics GP 2022 U.S. Year-End Update.
While test printing 1099 forms, we could not find the printer dialog box with the alignment settings.
Here is where it was on Windows 10:
Yet, going through the same steps takes us to a very different looking window in Windows 11 and there is no separate tab on which to enter the horizontal and vertical adjustments.
I followed many of the suggestions in the blog posting (https://community.dynamics.com/gp/b/dynamicsgp/posts/microsoft-dynamics-gp-year-end-update-2022-payables-management-form-changes) for the Question 6, but without being able to use a horizontal or vertical adjustment, this was a dead end. Modifying the form would get us close, without the horizontal or vertical adjustment, we could not get it to stop printing on the lines or text.
Has anybody else using Windows 11 encountered this problem and found the missing alignment input boxes?
After much time, I found a workaround using some hints found online, namely the editing of the DEX.INI file.
On the Windows 10 machine, I set up a 1099 print and entered horizontal and vertical adjustments. I then viewed the DEX.INI and saw the lines it added. I copied those lines to the Windows 11 machine's DEX.INI. Next, I keep modifying those numbers in the DEX.INI file and did test prints until I got everything to line up as needed. I am not positive whether all 4 of the following lines were needed. The "123;456" numbers are the ones I kept adjusting until I got it to work on the Windows 11 machine. "Acct_M712DN_PS" is the name of our printer.
