DIEF shared folder access

I am getting error while validating shared working directory of DIEF. (Using AX 2012 R3 fresh install)

Error - "Access is denied for the user. For additional warnings or errors, please check the log"

I have tried changing the SSIS and DIEF service to be running under Admin account but no luck. The directory is having full access to 'Everyone'.

Can anybody tell me which setup I am missing?

Regards,

Deepak

    Hi DG,

Did you use a drive letter or a network path? Entering an UNC network path is better as the AOS is accessing that folder.

    Hi Andre,

    Same result in both cases.

    Hi ,

If you have given everyone full access in the "Shared" tab, you must also mention the same everyone or domain\users as full control in the next tab "Security" as well.

Please refer the below screenshot to refer the unc path specification

Hope this will help you to solve

    Hi Rudra,

'Everyone' is in both the tabs and have full access. Still the issue exist.

I guess that it must be some other missing settings like service running under wrong credentials or not access to registry key or something else like this. But don't know what exactly :(

    Deepak

Is your DMF service connection url is working fine, just browse the url ad check the xml is downloadable

You can give in which user account aos service is running you can provide the same user account, also add the same user in local administrator group as well.

apart from the above we do not have any setup to do with permissions.

    Hi Deepak,

The AOS user is accessing this directory. Are you sure this user also has the full write permissions?

On the application server (AOS) there is a local usergroup for the Import Export framework.

Both the user running the AOS service and the user running the DIXF service need to be part of that group.

I had the same problem as you and adding those users to that group was the solution.

I have added both AOS running account and DIXF service running account to DIEF related local group. -> Same error

Everyone has full access to the folder (both from security and sharing tab) - Same error

Tried to browse the service URL - got this message

'Metadata publishing for this service is currently disabled.' With a list of options on how to restore it.

    Any more ideas?

Please check the DIEF port number is blocked in your firewall.
