We have placed a marketing form with 10-ish subscription lists on our website. I would like to collect additional information (interests) from the contacts that subscribe, but the information to be collected is different depending on the specific subscription lists that were selected by the contact. What would you recommend to manage this?
The form on the website has double opt-in enabled, so contacts need to click a link in an email to confirm their subscription.
The only way I can think of to collect the additional information is to present a 2nd form to subscribers. Or can you think of another way?
How can I present this 2nd form to them? Can they be redirected there from clicking the link in the confirmation email? Or do they need to receive a 2nd email with a link to the 2nd form? Contacts will then receive one email per selected subscription list, but this is acceptable.
How do I set this up? Do I need segments to group people who have selected a specific subscription list? How does that work in practice? What's the query?
For sending the emails with the link to the 2nd form, I need a customer journey, right? Can all options be managed in one customer journey, or do I need a separate customer journey per subscription list?
Any other ideas on how to accomplish this?
Any advice will be appreciated.
