I currently have requirement of changing label of financial dimensions in AX 2012. Could anyone help me with this?

What do you mean exactly by changing the label?
For a so-called custom-dimension you can always change the dimension value and description in the financial dimensions form by selecting the financial dimension values button and applying your changes in the form that opens.
Automatic financial dimensions, such as business unit, customer, etc. Need to be modified in the respective sub-modules, such as the organization admin module, AR, etc. For those you can change the descriptive text
Please also not the transalation button that might help if you just need to translate descriptions.
When doing those changes please be aware of possible integration problems especially with the Management Reporter. That is, subsequent changes in financial dimension values might result in Problems with MR that require a rebuilt of the MR Datamart.

You can go to general ledger -> setup -> Financial dimensions -> Financial dimensions and change Dimensions name there.

I just need to change the name of label. For example I have dimension name as"Department" which is visible on form and i need to change to "department new"

I have one question, If i go to general ledger -> setup -> Financial dimensions -> Financial dimensions, i could see more then 20 dimensions(Customised dimensions are added), but on standard forms showing financial dimensions i could see only 8. Where do we control which dimensions to show on forms

I mean the descriptive fields that you have available and that allow you entering the description you need.
I understand now, you mean that when the description on MR named with cost center label so when updating the new label for the cost center, we should also update the description on MR if any. Is it correct?
In addition, is there any thing should be consider when changing cost center name?

Yes, I meant the MR description field.
Regarding the change of a cost center name: This should be ok and should not cause major issue. Yet, some filters that you might have saved and used for example in online inquiry forms or reports might not catch the correct records anymore depending on how those filters have been defined.
