Has anyone created a sales snapshot of the sales dollar by dimension for current year and previous year? then month and previous month? How did you accomplish this?

We use the following dynamic date filters with the Chart of Accounts page as saved views (using Role Center configuration)
Current Month: -CM..CM
Prior Month: -CM-1M..-CM-1D

We currently show 3 years, YTD's and Periods, which shows trends better.
How would this be accomplished?
