Creating Marketing Form Submission records through Power Automate Flow

Posted on by 55 Microsoft Employee

Hello experts,

Need your suggestions.

Currently we are creating / updating lead / contact through Power Automate on FB Lead Submission (Webhook)

https://developers.facebook.com/docs/marketing-api/guides/lead-ads/quickstart/webhooks-integration/

Just to make it more consistent and similar to Marketing Form Submission, we are now thinking of  creating marketing form submission record instead of creating / updating the Lead / Contact in the flow.

Is it possible to create the marketing form submission record with status pending, populating the submitted values and than CRM does the further processing itself.

Thanks and Regards,
Nishant Rana

    Thanks Petr for your guidance. We managed to get the form submission record created and submitted successfully using the action. And we do understand that this is not an officially supported scenario, so we are also thinking of an alternate solution.

    Hello,

    You can create a form submission in Pending state and then manually trigger Resubmit action to start the submission processing.

    If you want to automate the Resubmit you can Call custom action from power automate. You will need action name:

    operationName: "msdyncrm_UpdateMarketingFormSubmission"

    And parameters to pass:

    {

         Step:  "Retry",

         entity: entity.getEntityReference(),

         CreateInteractions: false

    }

    There is also related documentation can help to explain the context:
