Denomination Currency - Exchange rate type

Hi everybody,

I have a doubt related to the denomination currency: why is it allowed to input only one exchange rate for each currency? My company is working with 2 exchange rate types (e.g. monthly/closing) and I am a bit confused if the exchange rate in the denomination currency form shouldn't also have the exchange rate type?

Regards.

I have the same question (0)

The denomination functionality is not intended for this example. Then you have to setup an exchange rate.

For sure exchange rate information is available. E.g.: http://www.x-rates.com/calculator/?from=INR&to=BRL&amount=1

Hi Andre, thanks for your prompt replies.

The intention was to understand the denomination currency functionality and see if it really is appropriate to be used to manage foreign currency relationship.

For example: An Indian LE sells to a Brazilian customer, but there isn't exchange rate between Rupee and Real.

    Regards.

The concept of Denomination currencies is that there is a triangulation between the Denominated currency and a reference currency. This means that there is a fixed exchange rate which should not change.

Currencies which will be replaced with e.g. the Euro could be used in this form. In the past the Dutch Guilder was fixed with an exchange rate of 2.20371.

Are you supposed to use the Denomination Currency functionality?
