Over the weekend we changed the Domain Controller. But the domain is the same.  Everything is working except Management Reporter.

We get the message cannot connect to the server.

Please advise.

RE: Management Reporter - Change in Domain Controller

    Hi,

Did changing the domain controller change the user's SID?  If the domain is the same, that should stay the same too.  But if the user's SID changed, that would cause a problem for MR.  MR stores the user's SID in the Reporting.SecurityUser table, in the MR database.

Otherwise what I would do is start MR so that you get the error again.  It should ask you if you want to connect to a different server.  Click YES to that message.  The Connection window will open.  Verify that the address to the MR server is correct.  If it is, click the Test Connection button.  That will give you another error message.  You'll then want to go to the Even Viewer and check what is logged there.  MR will log errors under Applications and Services Logs | Microsoft | Dynamics | MR-Logger | Operational.  Most of the errors that you can get are documented in this KB article:
