Hello,
i am looking for is there any possibility we can import data using composite data entity without using DMF, i.e. if it can be done via code, what would be the approach to it?
Thanks
I have the same question (0)

    Hi @xain,

I think you can insert data with API via entites.

    Hi Mohamed,
i think Recurring integrations API is applicable in my case but since it involves creation of Data project in DMF which i don't want to so i think it is not applicable in my case, Do you think i can simply achieve like it asks for the file to import and it insert it in complex data entity?

Composite Data entities are collection of multiple sub entities(where each sub-entity may be made of multiple tables/views) . These are composite data entities are used for export purpose.

You will need to import data using individual data entities and not the composite ones.

i think composite data entities can also be used to import data via DMF, see the link https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/data-entities/develop-composite-data-entities, but i don't want to use DMF to import the data.

    Hi Xain,

You are right, it could be used for the import process as well. As I haven't tested the process myself , I would skip it for anyone else to suggest.

What you ask for isn't possible - the support for composite entities is a feature of DMF, therefore you can't import them through anything else then DMF. Either you use DMF (manually or via DMF APIs) or you can't use composite entities.
