AX 2012 R3 CU10- Slipstream installation

Greetings,

I want to install new AX 2012 R3 with CU10.

1. I downloaded DynamicsAX2012R3-KB3102920-SlipStreamOnly from Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services. 

2. Extracted this file - Copied the extracted files/folders into AX 2012 R3 source under "Update" folder as CU10

3. Then I run the ax installer. and Installation was finished.

 - Checked the build numbers...both kernel and application was upto date.

My question is :

Since I am doing fresh install with cu10.  Do I need to download the slipstream for earlier CUs also and copy under folder like "CU7" "CU8" "CU9" along with "CU10"  

Or 

Just CU10 is enough.

After installation/Post installation..do I need to upgrade db or appln separately.... again. ???

 

Please guide me!

    Yes sir,

    You are right.

    Some other consultants told my operational manager that what I did installing streamlining cu10 install is not correct.  

    I tried to explain him.  but no use.

    So, just for his satisfaction he wanted me to get answers from different forume...

    That's the reason., due to his force I posted here.

    I am totally satisfied with your answer which you gave....
