Hello Community
while creating Subproject getting below error message

A new subproject cannot be created using the '.&' number sequence on the parent project if subprojects with all letters from A to Z have already been created.

26 subprojects are created
and my default subproject ID format is .&
i tried to increase to .&&& still getting the same error message.

Could you please help is this is the standard behaviror of D365 or any customization or any parameter to be changed.

A Parent Project created and 26 sub projects created, and i'm trying to create another subproject getting the error message,

The error message definitely seems to be from a customization and not standard F&O.

Hi,

The use of the & character to get subproject using A to Z is standard functionality. I haven't seen your error message. That might be a customization.

In case you tried changing the Subproject ID format on the parameters, it will not reflect on existing projects as they have this field as default. Before creating subprojects, you can change the value of the format. When you have subprojects created, it can't be changed on the project.

It is possible to use && or &&&, but this should be set before you create the first subproject.
