Since 2022 it is possible to see the Teams-status of your colleagues inside the Dynamics apps (View your colleague’s presence | Microsoft Learn). I understand that this feature can bring some usefull information but it slows down the loading of forms and views.
It also causes a 'systemuser' field to take longer to load, stuttering each time after a few seconds of form loading. This results in you often clicking on something you don't want to click on. This functionality brings a lot of irritation to users and adds nothing for us. Now I did see that there used to be a setting to disable this, but unfortunately that setting is no longer there (see here: https://carldesouza.com/how-to-disable-and-enable-skype-teams-presence-in-dynamics-365-powerapps-forms/)
My question: Is there any other way this can still be disabled?
Instead of optimizing, Microsoft loves to over bloat their software, leaving us with no alternatives and worse products.
The worst thing is, trying to remove some contacts from a mail, then clicking on X and right in that moment, the online presence changes the state, leading to opening the contact. Then needing to wait for that high performant page to load after 10 seconds to just go back to where you left and continue your process 30 seconds later.
