Does Accruals run automatically for Leave plans with Accrual Period basis as Employee specific date

Hi

I had set up a leave plan with Accrual Frequency of Monthly, Accrual period basis as Employee Specific Date as Seniority Date and Accrual Award date of Accrual Period end date and defined the Accrual amount based on months of service.

But I see no accruals executed in the past 3 weeks for any employee, do i need to set up anything additional here ?

Thanks

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

did you also processed the accrual by starting the calculations?

It's advised to do this in batchjob:

Thanks for the reply, so do i need to set this up once for assuming for leave plans to start accruals, surprisingly I found no mention in any MS documentation while setting the leave plans, may I missed something.

Yes, this needs to be setup once.

You might double check if this is required per legal entity (as i'm not 100% sure).

    Hi YBCRG1,

In addition to what Erik de Boer said above, you need to run Accrue leave and absence plans. It is worth noting that the leave plan is still related to the enrollment date. Your Accrual award date is the end date, so you will see leave balance next month.

You can change the as of date to check the future balance.

    Hi

Once the accrual plan and enrollments are completed, you need to run the accrual process at least once to know the accrual balances. Based on your accrual award date, the balances will be updated. Of course, based on the requirement you can schedule the accrual process to run in the background on a monthly basis since your accrual frequency is set to Monthly.

Having said that, I have a suggestion. Since it's a monthly frequency and if you have high employee turnover, it is wise to keep the accrual process manual so that the leavers can be excluded and the accrual process can be completed thereafter.

Going forward, based on what MS released last evening, there will be an accrual process per plan which makes life much easier if that is what you need.
