Hi,

I'm new in this forum. I come accross an error message "cannot execute the required database operation. The SQL databse has issue an error" when I want to post shipment for transfer order. I'm using AX 2009. How do I solve this?

Base on the previous similar subject dated in February, I need to look into the Event Viewer for both SQL and Windows. I've check the Windows application event viewer and found out that there are a lot of similar error message

"login failed for user sa"

and one of this message below

"SQL Server Scheduled Job 'Process EVP Sales Analysis Cube and Related Dimensions' (0xD383D111FAE64647B3C335215E37FC43) - Status: Failed - Invoked on: 2012-04-13 05:00:00 - Message: The job failed.  The owner () of job Process EVP Sales Analysis Cube and Related Dimensions does not have server access."

Can any enlighthen me on this issue?

Is it possible that the person who has created the job, does not have enough permissions to execute ?

Because of the message : "The owner of the job".. Who is the owner.. does this one have enough permissions (SQL Login perhaps ?)

    Hi Gert,

The SQL Agent is running locally in the server so it has full permission to execute procedures.

    Hi Phillippe,

I've tried synchronize table. There were 4 error messages of "cannot execute a data definition command language on (). The SQL database has issue an error". Synchronize failed on 4 tables.

Does the SQL Server agent has enough permissions to execute procedures ? Try adding the role sysadmin to the sql server agent account....

The messages are from AOS server's event viewer. I'm using the administrator password, but  still face the same error message.

    Jason,

Did you check the event viewer on the AOS server as well? The user who executes the AOS has the according priviliges on the SQL Database?

    Based on your findings:

    - the login for the sa user is wrong in some application

    - Problem with the role center cubes
