Is it possible to sell a fixed asset using the Sales Order form?

    Using the Free text invoice is the right one for the sale of fixed assets.

    Russian country specific features support sale of fixed assets through the sales order form.

    Hello James,

    Personally, I would sell the fixed asset through a free text invoice as this automatically ensures that the sales and the fixed asset postings are made simultaneously.

    However, if this is not possible in your case then you can post the SO and the post the sale in a fixed asset journal once the SO invoice is created.

    Would you process the Invoice as a Sales Order invoice (against a dummy category), and then process a Fixed Asset SALE journal?

    Hello James,

    You can only select a dummy item or category that you use for invoicing the customer.

    When doing that you have to post the fixed asset sale separately in the fixed asset module.
