Enterprise portal cannot connect to AOS instance

Hi

We just migrated our servers from one hosting partner to another and AX is working absolutely fine except for the Enterprise Portal.

When we try and connect we get the error message "Enterprise Portal cannot connect to the Application Object Server .  . "

We have 4 AOS servers, all of which are started.  Names of servers have not been changed, but IP addresses have.

Where is the setting to define which AOS / IP / server name etc Enterprise Portal tries to use?  Our Enterprise Portal server is an AOS as well and was working fine before the migration for circa 4 years.

In addition, we see the following errors are logged in Event Viewer on the EP server:

The log on attempt to the server from user xxx\yyy, when using Dynamics Adapter LogonAs from process w3wp and thread id 12.

The server is unavailable. Microsoft Dynamics will try to connect to other servers in your configuration.

Followed by:

An error has occurred while redirecting to the default home page set for the Enterprise Portal site http://[Servername]/sites/DynamicsAx. Microsoft Dynamics AX is ignoring this error and redirecting to default.aspx.

No .NET Business Connector session could be found.

Any help / pointers are greatly appreciated.  I have searched the internet without joy and looked at web.config file in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\80 on the EP server but cannot find setting for AOS for Enterprise Portal.

Thanks in advance

You should check the Business connector configuration on the EP server using Dynamix AX Configuration Utility. Is it pointing to the old IP address?

Thank you for your input and apologies for not replying sooner.  You were correct, the Business connector configuration was pointing to a DNS name that did not exist anymore!
