Finance and Operation: Missing user-created workspace in Dynamics 365

Good day,

I've been experiencing a new error in our system with the user-created workspaces in Dynamics.

The deal is that I was modifying a pre-existing workspace by adding a tile into the workspace. After modifying the workspace I wanted to redistribute the workspace to the right people so that they could see the changes.

I gave the people access to the changes and Dynamics returned this message.

"The personalizations were imported successfully. Refresh your browser to see the changes."

But the workspace does not show up on the dashboard in D365.

So, I am trying to distribute a workspace to certain people, a workspace that already existed and when I did that the workspace disappeared

Is this a known error?

which version is this?

I've tested in Pu34 and any new changes to workspace by persoanlizations and distribution to all is working fine

also try disabling saved views

What is the exact contents of the exported personalization? Have you verified the file contents?

as Andre suggested, could you highlight the persoanliations was it a tile, filtered list or a link?

Also share the workspace name

Hi Rahul,

It was just a simple tile where I made a single change in location of an already existing tile.

The location went from "ProdOut" to "ProdOutCoo". I added that to the workspace and everything looked fine.

When I then distributed the workspace to my colleagues it just disappeared.

The workspace name is NL_Warehouse.

The "exact" content are you then meaning what is in the workspace?

The workspace is a super simple workspace of 8 tiles. All tracking various things happening in a warehouse.

Missing the one I made before it got deleted. I always keep photos of the workspaces in case something like this happens.

Hi Jon,

I did ask above if you have verified the file with the personalization. If you exported the personalization to disk, you can have a look at the contents of the xml file to see if you can find your personalization.

found there is a hotfix coming in PU34 for potential issue in workspaces.
