Hello,
You can use Service Principle/Application/Non-interactiove user to connect to Dynamics CRM onpremise from your .net application which does not require any license in Online Instance only.
Unfortunately Onpremise instance can not have these users created.
For on-premise you can setup user accounts that can interact with Dynamics 365 from external applications if the users are not licensed. This would be on the honour system, you are not allowed to login with those users to do regular
You can only Use Linq with Dynamics CRM service. Entity framework is not supported.
