Security roles: Access to edit sales tax on purchase orders

Posted on by 302
I want to give a security role access to edit the sales tax group and item sales tax group on purchase orders.

However, I am not able to restrict the access to only these fields. Below is a screenshot of the security configuration:

As you can see from the screenshots above, I have granted update-access to the display menu item PurchTablelistPage. For the references, I have denied permission to update/create/delete for all except TaxGroup.

When I test the role, it still has access to edit other fields in the purchase order. The ones highlighted in the screenshot above are only some of the fields I am able to edit.

How can I solve this case?

Yes, it makes sense, but what are the tables / menu items called...? I am not able to find them

For instance, the Customer account field seems to belong in the PurchTable, but I am not able to find it in the references. Could anyone support?

You need to investigate which tables/fields those specific ones belong to.
Just as your previous example, where you needed to restrict it on the purchline table as well, you need to find out where these fields belong.

I almost managed to solve it.

However, for some reason, the fields marked with red can still be edited.

How can I restrict the access to edit these fields?

    Hi Gaute,

You shared setup for the PurchTable datasource for the form PurchTableListPage. Dit you also setup overrides for the form PurchTable and table PurchLine?
