Reminder Automation, CC?

Hi, all,

Reminder automation is a useful tool to notify customers by email about overdue invoices.

Is there a way to also notify the relevant employee as in CC of the reminder email automation or any other way?

I have spent several hours looking for a solution but I can't, and the Issued Reminders Table does not appear on PowerAutomate either.

Thank you, best wishes.
I have the same question (0)

    Hi

Out of the box, BC cannot CC employees on reminder emails. The easiest workaround is using Exchange/Outlook mail rules; the proper long-term solution is a small extension to add CC support when sending reminders.

    Thanks

You can also look at the Sent folder of the email address sending the email, as it will appear in there as well.

    Hi,

In standard Business Central, reminder emails only go to the customer and there is no out-of-the-box way to add a CC to another email address.
    Workarounds:
    > Use Power Automate to trigger a flow when a reminder is created or an invoice becomes overdue, then send a custom email including both the customer and internal employee as recipients. Since the Issued Reminders table isn’t available in Power Automate, you can base the trigger on the Sales Invoice table with a filter for overdue invoices.
    > Another option is to create a custom report or codeunit that generates the reminder email and allows specifying additional recipients.

There’s no direct CC functionality built into BC’s reminder automation.

    Thanks

    Hi,

As per my understanding, there is no standard option to CC an internal employee in the automated reminder emails. The email is sent only to the customer contact defined on the reminder.

    Available Options

    1. Modify the Email Layout or Report
      • You can customize the reminder report or email body layout to include additional recipients by extending the email sending logic in AL.
    2. Use Power Automate
      • The Issued Reminder Header table (ID 297) contains fields like Customer No., Reminder Level, and Last Email Sent Date Time. You can use this table as a trigger in Power Automate to send a separate email (with CC) after a reminder is issued.

You cannot achieve this in standard BC For you to use Power Automate, you need to create an API for the Reminders Table, and then you can access it. How to create a custom API, please check the following

    Hi Rodrigo,

BC’s reminder automation is designed to notify customers about overdue invoices, but it does not natively support CC’ing internal employees during the automated email process.

    Here’s a clean path forward:

    • Native Reminder Automation Limitations
      • The Send Reminder action uses a system-generated email template without a configurable CC field.
      • You cannot add internal recipients directly in the reminder setup or terms.

    • Manual Workaround via Issued Reminders
      • If reminders are sent manually from the Issued Reminders page, you can preview the email and manually add CC recipients before sending.
      • This is not scalable but works for ad hoc internal visibility.

    • Power Automate Integration Strategy
      • The Issued Reminders table is not exposed in Power Automate by default.
      • To work around this, you can:
        • Create a custom API page that exposes issued reminders or overdue invoices.
        • Use Power Automate to trigger reminder emails and include CC logic dynamically.

    • Alternative: Use Distribution Groups or Shared Mailboxes
      • Instead of CC’ing individuals, route reminder emails through a distribution group or shared mailbox that includes relevant internal staff.
      • This avoids modifying the automation logic and ensures internal visibility.
