Normally when we run a website, the files should be in the wwwroot folder of Inetpub. But I cannot see the webclient folder in the wwwroot directory afte web server is installed. Do I have to move all the contents of web client to the www root or configure as virtual directory?

I tried both ways, but got lots of errros. Please advise! Thank you!

Thank you expert! I will read you reference. My case is  I don't see anything in the wwwroot and you mentioned the folder for the default Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web client instance is %systemroot%\inetpub\wwwroot\DynamicsNAV70 folder.

Do I have to manually move the DynamicsNAV70 folder to the wwwroot and then do the configuration? Thank you!

    HI

you're right, the folder for the default Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web client instance is %systemroot%\inetpub\wwwroot\DynamicsNAV70 folder.

"Web.config File" is the configuration file.

    About the Web.config File

The web.config file is an .xml file that you can edit with a text editor, such as Notepad.

    Locating the Web.config file

You can have multiple Microsoft Dynamics NAV web server instances on IIS. Each instance has its own web.config file that is stored in the physical path of the application's virtual directory. The path is %systemroot%\inetpub\wwwroot\[VirtualDirectoryName].
