I have a client who is running on GP 2018. I have created several payables transaction entry integrations for them to use for various vendors from which they receive a lot of transactions. A couple of days ago, I tried adding another payables integration and when trying to open and run the integration we received the message that the item already exists in collection. After that, we tried running an integration that they had been using quite a while and we received the same message. We restored their file from a backup. Is there a limit to the number of integrations that integration manager will allow for a particular destination?
Googling for solutions, one of the suggestions that I found was to apply the latest service pack of Integration Manager. The version of IM that they are running is 18.00.0641. I cannot find any service packs for Integration Manager for GP 2018 and above. I can find them for previous versions.
Any suggestions regarding what might be causing this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I completely agree with Derek. The latest release of GP is 18.3.1290. You could choose to upgrade GP and go through the usual upgrade process. Reinstalling IM using the fall GP media will install the latest release of IM.This sounds like some dlls are now mismatched.
If you're on GP 18.3, then we'd want to uninstall and reinstall Integration Manager from the MDGPFALL2020_DVD_ENUS DVD media for GP 18.3.
The 'upgrade' of IM is just pointing the new version of IM at your existing IM database and source files, that will 'update' the IM database.
Thanks
I just verified with my client what their exact GP version is and they are on 18.3 (18.3.1173). When a new release of IM comes out in a GP 2018 release, do we have to go through the usual upgrade process of their IM file? I was told earlier by someone at Microsoft that they aren't really changing IM any more. Or do you think we can just install the newer version and point it to the existing file. Thanks!
It is an IM message that pops up as soon as you click the Run button. Thanks for your input.
When you say "Item already exists in the collection" are you referring to a duplicate key message or was this something IM displayed before the integration started? This could be a Windows update issue. You could try to repair uninstall/install IM to see that fixes this issue?
Not a lot at a time. Maybe 20. There are maybe 8 or 10 other AP integrations set up that they have been running quite a while just fine. This new one is small. They are bringing in more individual transactions into Access and summarizing them. Then the integration looks at an Access query.
How n\any transactions are you trying to import? There is a setting for IM that impacts when a lot of transactions are being imported.
Looking at this page, I don't see any service packs for Integration Manager 2018 either:
docs.microsoft.com/.../mdgp2018_patchreleases_377
If you install from the MDGPFall2020_DVD_ENUS media, then IM would have a version of 18.00.1175.000, but that's more for GP 18.3, not GP 18.0.
I think I found the forum that mentions a service pack for IM, but that was GP 2013. In that same forum, getting this error about "item already exists in the collection" the customer mentioned the issue was the way the distribution was setup.
Doing an initial search, I wasn't able to find anything more on this specific IM error message.
Thanks
