Number sequence unable to auto create

When I go to path Organization Administration - Number sequence - clxik generate

I get below message in my notification 

Cannot create record in number sequence scopeAccess denied: you donot have sufficient authorization to modify data in database.

    You need to have access to the "Information technology manager" role.

    First created number sequence by clicking new and saved it and than  applied same sequence for certain modules by going to path set up parameters under each module.  Like under payables, I am able to apply sequences for all except for vendor. System unable to save when applying saved number sequence to vendor under payables module.

    Yes our IT team at company given me IT Manager role to set up system.

    Hi,

    If you have updated the sequence in parameters, I think that is the reason the system won't allow you to generate as you already have a sequence.

    If your problem is only with vendor sequence, can you show us what is the error you are getting? we can help you.

    Hi,

    Did you click save and check if your vendor number was generated?

    Also, can you check your AP parameter number sequence and the sequence setup there? if that is manual to yes, turn that to NO then check if this solves your problem.

    Everytime when I select number sequence and save it for vendor Account under AP parameters, system is not allowing me to save. 

    I suppose I got stuck here.
