CRM 2016 OnPrem v8.2 web browser access from mobile device secured by Microsoft Intune using Kerberos Constrained Delegation

Posted on by 20

Hi all,

I kindly ask for help regarding deployment and security setting for CRM On Premise infrastructure. I din't find answer, but also I'm not IT security technician and network specialist.

AS-IS

MS CRM v 8.2 OnPrem configured for Internet Facing Deployment for internal access only (not public)

TO-BE:

There's need to access this CRM OnPrem instance from mobile device secured by Microsoft InTune.  Web access to CRM via browser on mobile device is only required (not mobile app).

Access must support:  Kerberos Constrained Delegation , Azure AD Proxy

Is this setup feasible with Dynamics 365 v 8.2 OnPrem IFD? And where can I find documentation, how to setup?

Regards

David Svoboda

We had the similar question and we got the below response from the Microsoft.

Intune MAM is cloud service tightly integrated with Azure AD.  Check the section

    docs.microsoft.com/.../mam-faq

Why don't On-Premises (on-prem) services work with Intune protected apps?

Intune app protection depends on the identity of the user to be consistent between the application and the Intune App SDK. The only way to guarantee that is through modern authentication. There are scenarios in which apps may work with an on-prem configuration, but they are neither consistent nor guaranteed.

Intune MDM has a on-premise version as part of "Configuration Manager" which could be explored.

    Hello Davidsvon,

I am not aware of such documentation for IFD that includes Intune support and have never tried to configure the way you are looking for.

Hopefully someone has already tried that one and can reply to this post.

    Thanks.
