How to manage the decimal number on attributes values

Posted on by 66

Hello everyone,

A question about the decimal management in Dynamics 365 F&O.

The problem is that I have two attributes : the Width and the Thickness. Both are measured in millimeter, BUT the differents is on the decimal number :

  • Width has 1 decimals, like W = 30,5 mm
  • Thickness has 4 decimals, like th = 4,5580 mm

As the decimal number is managed at the Unit level, I must creat my millimeter unit with 4 decimals :

And with that, the Width as 4 decimals, which is a bit ridiculous:

Do you have a solution to be able to have 1 decimal on the Width and 4 on the Thickness ?

Thank you,

    Hi Jean,

You can create two separate EDTs and set the No. Of decimal property to the desired value - You can map that EDTs to the table fields.

    Thanks,

    Girish S.
