Hi,
According to the Management Reporter 2012 system requirements, Windows server 2016 the highest version supported. Does anyone know if and when Windows Server 2019 is (will be) supported? It appears that you can use Windows Server 2019 with Dynamics GP (with the exception of VBA support) but if you use MR you can't go to Windows Server 2019. Can someone please let me know if this is true and if anyone knows when will Windows Server 2019 be supported?
The system requirements haven't been update. MR should run on Windows Server 2019. I've seen a few users that have it running on Server 2019 and there do not appear to be any problems.
Thanks for responding to my question Greg. I’m surprised Microsoft hasn’t addressed this yet. Windows Server 2019 was released over 2 years ago and businesses want to move to this platform. Lack of clear documentation on this worries me. I don’t want to advice my clients to upgrade unless until I have a solid answer.
I am also trying to install Management Reporter on Windows Server 2019. I've upgraded MR to CU16 and would like to use an SSL certificate and https: website. The certificate has been installed according to the Microsoft directions, but the certificate doesn't appear in the drop-down in Configuration Console. Is this due to Windows Server 2019 or is there some other problem that I need to resolve?

I have searched and I am unable to find the answer. Is there any solution? Looking for for any help! Thanks.
I have non-https: Legacy Adapter Management Reporter installations on several GP 18.x environments running Microsoft Windows (and SQL) Server 2019. [I don't not had anyone request https: and we have moved away from Data Mart with GP 18.x so I don't know if there are issues with either of these.]
JBeck2014,
is there a particular reason to use the SSL certificate in the MR2012 setup ?... I've been able to install and configure the latest CU16 builds of MR on Windows server 2019 & SQL 2019 without any issues, but I've also never seen a single customer requesting SSL to be used together with their MR setup.. Most of the time they do use MR as an internal application only and no one is ever accessing MR data from outside the corporate network (which I'd find to be ill-advised), though technically it should be possible.
Beat,
We're a software security company and we are wanting to use the SSL certificate to increase our security posture on our internal applications.
Julie
Hi Julie,
Thanks for clarifying.. I do get that from your perspective, but 99% of the clients I support don't really use SSL certificates for internal apps, or only when there is no other option (like the GP Web client doesn't work without the SSL configured).
I just know from experience that troubleshooting SSL issues are the worst ones...
