Hello Experts

I modified the Non-conformance report by adding 2 more fields requested by quality people. I  did it first in test and is working OK. As soon as is replicate the same in a live environment  I'm getting this error when I create a new record.

SQL error description: [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0][SQL Server]String or binary data would be truncated.

SQL statement: INSERT INTO INVENTNONCONFORMANCETABLE (INVENTNONCONFORMANCEID,INVENTNONCONFORMANCETYPE,NONCONFORMANCEDATE,ITEMID,INVENTNONCONFORMANCEAPPROVAL,DEFAULTDIMENSION,CLOSED,INVENTTESTPROBLEMTYPEID,VENDACCOUNT,CUSTACCOUNT,INVENTTRANSTYPE,INVENTREFID,INVENTTRANSIDREF,INVENTTESTQUARANTINETYPE,QUARANTINEZONEID,TESTDEFECTQTY,TESTRESPONSIBLEWORKER,INVENTTESTINFOSTAT,INVENTTESTINFOSTATREF,RUSH,INVENTDIMID,UNITID,PDSCWTESTDEFECTQTY,CDUSTDCOST,CDUNCIVALUE,CDU_PRODUCTCODE,PWDNCIDESCRIPTION,CREATEDDATETIME,DEL_CREATEDTIME,CREATEDBY,DATAAREAID,RECVERSION,PARTITION,RECID) VALUES (?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?)

I check twice if I didn't do something different and couldn't find any error. Could you please help

Regards

Peter

    Hi Peter,

Possibly a string field had been changed for the number of characters where it now does not fit in one of the fields of the InventNonConformanceTable. You can check the data types used for each field and which types are used for the values which will be inserted.

    Hi Andre

I compare the table in both environments and setup for each field is the same in both. one of the fields I created and add new EDT as string size was 10 and I needed to 200. I created an EDT  and attach to the field to increase a string size. I just not understand why is working in the test but not in Live.

Have you tried to look at the tables from sql?

Perhaps the tables where not synchronized properly.

    Hi LordPOPO.

Did you extend from 10 to 200 or did you create a new EDT for the string size 200? Anyway, check the comments from Rudi related to the database sync. If this is not working directly, also try to restart the IIS service.

Hi yes, the issue was in the database not fully synchronize. When i synchronize it everything work fine

    Thanks Guys
