Add columns to item ID lookup

Hi,

When creating a new Purchase order, we must select the item number from a lookup. I want to modify the columns of this lookup.

I want to modify the columns shown in the lookup of Item number field.

I have added a new field "Item model group" to Purchline Table. I want to add this Field to Auto Lookup

Could anyone advise how to modify the columns in item number lookup of  fields

Thanks in advance

    Hi Sravan,

For what reason did you include the Item model group on the purchase lines? If it a new field on the PurchLine table? In fact it has nothing to do with the lookup.

You have to verify if a lookup form has been created and used for the InventTable. If not, it will use the fields listed in the AutoLookup field group of the InventTable.

If you look at ItemId field of PurchLine datasource, you'll see that it has lookup() method overridden. Inside the method, you can find that it uses InventItemIdLookupPurchase form. That's where you can add extra columns.

    Hi,

Please modify the form InventItemIdLookupPurchase(as suggested by Martin) shown below to get item model group:

Ismail, please read my reply. It explains that I looked at the lookup() method and found the answer there.

In general, either the lookup is generated by AX, it's generated by custom code in lookup() (or lookupReference()) method or there is a modeled form associated with the EDT (FormHelp property) or used from code (that's the case discussed in this thread).
