Purchase order financial dimensions

Posted on by 65

Dear AX users,

When I create a purchase order via project > item task > PO, the financial dimensions are inherited from the project.

Is there any way to override some dimensions by using the supplier's ?

For example, on the project :

dimension 1 = project number = 12345

dimension 2 = intercompany code = UK

dimension 3 = sector = Energy

and for the supplier:

dimension 1 = project number = blank

dimension 2 = intercompany code = FR

dimension 3 = sector = blank

On the purchase order, I would like to have:

dimension 1 = project number = 12345

dimension 2 = intercompany code = FR (from the supplier, without changing it manually)

dimension 3 = sector = Energy

Is there any way to achieve that ?

Thank you for your help!

Nelly

    Hi Nelly,

Per product behavior on this scenario, Project dimension has priority over Supplier dimension. Therefore, as pointed by Ludwig, the workaround would be to have intercompany code blank in the project. Otherwise, you would need a customization to change this behavior in your end.

    Hi Nelly,

Can you leave the intercompany code empty at the project level?

Another alternative would be introducing a new dimension 2a 'intercompany code supplier' that defaults from your supplier.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
