Value Entry Inventory Adjustment Source

Hi there,

We are trying to figure out how to tie each Inventory Adjustment in the Value Entries to specific item cost changes. Is there any way to see this information? From my understanding, the inventory adjustments are the result of running the batch inventory adjustment, but I'd like to know if there is a way to tie each value entry adjustment to the specific item/s whose cost adjusted.

I searched the forum and the internet already looking for someone already asking this question but found nothing.

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Hi,

    No, that's not possible out-of-the-box.

You would have to modify codeunit 5895 "Inventory Adjustment" to transfer the desired information into new fields.

Can you be more specific with the requirement? I might understand your requirement incorrectly... You can e.g. use Item Charges and allocate negative/positive item charges to specific items for the inbound operations, then being able to see specific charges (adjustments) types bind to certain item/s...

    Hi Alexander,

Our Value Entries have many entries that are the result of Inventory Adjustments (we see this under the "Source Code" column as "INVTADJMT"). We are looking for a way to tie each specific Inventory Adjustment transaction to the specific SKU (item) that is causing the adjustment. Am I right to even assume every inventory adjustment is a result of the cost of a SKU changing?

    Okay, thanks Hannes.
