Using Field in Table extension as datasource for Form Control

Hi,

I would like to know how can i use a newly added field in Table extension as datasource for a control in my form.

I have added a new reference group control on a form, now i would like that field to be grouped under AutoIdentification field group. All the field groups remain uneditable. Is overlayering the only solution for adding this new field in AutoIdentification field group?

    You should see it among "normal" fields.

    Are you doing it in the model that contains the table extension, or another model that has a reference to the one with the extension?

    It works for me without any problem. Rebuild your project and try it again.

    If it doesn't work, please tell us what exactly are you doing. Also, please mention your exact version of AX 7 (e.g. Update 2).

    I see you've added more information to your question, so let me address them.

    You can add fields to field groups in table extensions, but AutoIdentification is group is generated from the natural key, so you can't change it. But why would you change it? Why don't you simply select a different field group in the ReplacementFieldGroup property of of your reference group control?
