Hi there,

I was asked to create a User Manual Document for Employee Course Registration Workflow process for Client explanation. Basically I am a Technical person and new to functional part. I would be grateful if anyone provides useful sources explaining how an employee can register a Course and background Workflow process for the same.

Hi,

Are you using AX2012 or D365FO?

For AX2012, the following HR related workflows are available:

docs.microsoft.com/.../set-up-human-resources-workflows

For D365FO you can get started on the following docs site:

docs.microsoft.com/.../hr-setup-workflows

Would be great if you could provide us with an update on the system version that you operate and whether you need any other information in regards to the workflow setup.

Hi Ludwig, am currently looking for D365 FO. I just need to explain the client in detail how an employee Course Registration Works using an Workflow and whats the Workflow Configuration for the same which explains the flowchart/hirearchy for the process. Thanks in advance

For the courses and the related setups have a look at the following MS docs site:

docs.microsoft.com/.../hr-learning-courses

There are a number of setups / configurations necessary that need to be in place before you can apply this.

Hi K Prem Kumar,

There is a Worker course registration workflow in Human resource workflows list. You can create and active it.

Then select it when you create a new course. Workers added directly in Course participants form are not needed to be approved. But if they apply to register in ESS workspace, the status is Pending approval.
