Calculated Field on Import solution : You can only use a Date Only type

Hi,

I'm importing the unmanaged solution to the CRM system and getting below error on custom calculated field

Data type: Date & Time

Behaviour: Date Only

Format: Date only.

Please suggest. Much appreciate if you would respond quickly.

Hi Sumit,

Check if there is a mismatch in the data type of the field within the 2 environments where you are trying to import

Target environment is the fresh copy of CRM solution and this field is custome filed in a source environment

Hi Sumit,

You sure its a custom field cause it says opportunity.currentdate, I would expext the schema name as well if this is a custom field like new_currentdate.

Is it possible for you to remove the field from the solution and then try again. This will confirm if this is because of the field or something else.

If this doesn't help, you can also break your solution into small sub solution and then track where exactly its failing (may be entity wise).

Its a Custom field, there is a schema name but i purposely removed that. Its failing there only at this field as per the log file . I cant remove this field. its has dependancy

Sumit, I am having the same issue. The field works fine in development, but I cannot import a solution with this field into a clean CRM instance. My field is defined as DateTime, Date Only behavior, Date Only format. It is a Calculated Field producing Today's Date using the Now() function to compare to other Date Only fields within the entity.
