Enabling Geolocation on Unified Interface for WorkOrder

Do you know how to enable the geolocation in the WorkOrder for the Unified Interface Model Driven App?

Using D365 for Field Service in the Standard graphical version when a user creates a new WorkOrder filling the Address fields and hitting TAB a popup is presented to the User to select a valid Address so that the system can geolocate the address.

Currently as strongly imposed by Microsoft we are working on the Unified Interface, for that we created a new Model Driven App including all the Entities: WorkOrder, Resources and so on.

Currently in the Unified Interface version when creating a WorkOrder and filling the Address no suggestion is presented to the user and neither it is geolocated.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks Paolo

    Hi Partner

    Hi Paolo,

As suggested, please refer the link to turn on auto geo coding. Here it is for quick reference.

For setting the GeoCode you need to navigate to Resource Scheduling - > Settings ->Administration and set the connect to maps to Yes.
Navigate to Field Service -> Settings -> Field Service Settings. Open the active Field Service record and click on other and set the Auto Geo Code Addresses to Yes.

Thanks for your answer I tired what you suggest and it still does not work.

Both flags are set to Yes:

    - Auto Geo Code Addresses

    - Enable Address Suggestion

in fact in the standard user interface everything works fine. I tried to change the settings both with NO and the result is that also in the Standard user interface the geolocation is turned off, while reactivating both flags only the Standard user interface behave as expected.

    Hi Paolo,

Just for my understanding, did you happen to click on the geo code button on the Ribbon Bar of the Work Order after entering the Address. If you are providing the latitude and longitude then provide the postal code or only the postal code. It will display the information based on the Address entered and will also give you Address suggestions.

    Best Regards
