HR Promoted an Employee and Posted it By Mistake, Is it Possible to Reverse The Promotion as It Never Posted ?

Hi,

The HR team made a mistake to one of the company employees by promoting him to a higher grade. Now they are asking us (IT Dept) if we can help to reverse the posted promotion transaction as it never happen to not effect the employee record by show him promoted then demoted the next day.

Our Dynamics 365 partner company proposed that the only solution to this mistake is to make a demotion the next day of the promotion and make the payroll adjustment of that 1 day difference.

We would like to have a final word from MS expert about this issue.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi AMEERSH,

You can always change the position and adjust the earlier position timeline. For Payroll, you can make adjustments based on your earlier position.
